400T / h basalt sand making plant in xinjiang
 
Recently,our company designed 400t/h hard rock aggregate system for xinjiang' Customer. right now, the plant orderly conduct of the installation and commissioning. it Is expected to start production later this year. The processing material was basalt stone ballast which is a very hard rock of Dry compressive strength up to 219 a 293Mpa.


The engineering contract quality requirements for this aggregate plant's finished sand are as below stated:
(1) The quality of the final sand texture be hard, clean and well graded;
(2) Stable fineness modulus, and be controlled between 2.4 to 2.8;
(3) Final sand dust content be controlled between 10% and 15%;
(4) The moisture content of final sand be controlled in the range of 6% to 7%;
 
The plant's raw material was basalt which is of high hardness, high work index, low sand production ration, low content of final sand powder and high fineness modulus. However the client has very high requirements on the quality of the finished sand. After a detailed analysis, we decided to implement the dry method sand production:
 
This process adopts primary crushing, secondary crushing and fine crushing three-stage crushing in one closed circuit. The closed circuit has adjustable particle size and the gradation could be made according to demands which is the typical flowchart of artificial aggregates production.
The screening we adopt pre-screening, gradation screen and inspection screening three processes. The pre-screening is for the screening before crushing and gradation screen classifies the raw material and crushed material, inspection screening controls the particle size after vertical shaft.

Rainproof facilities erected in the sand production workshop such as close circuit of fine crushing workshop, secondary screening adjustment silo and second screening plant ensure that the material is not affected by the rain. Within the system, the isolated screening plants could prevent the dust damage to the staff and the surrounding environment. In the dust easily - generated places like discharge chute of primary crushing and secondary crushing, we are using water sprinkle.
 
As the process of installation and training goes, customer has increasing acceptance to our services, and as well we will strive to provide better and more efficient service which will help customers achieving the expected benefits.
 
The pros and cons of dry sand production:
(1) no adjustment on craftsmanship, only based on perfect tenders and construction design.
(2) dry-type production is conducive to sand making machine produced sand rate, and it will reduce costs.
(3) low cost for dry sand production. The system processing capacity is 320t / h, artificial sand production capacity is about 120, the system is relatively small in scale. The key to dry sand production is that the sand must be fully dry, in order to ensure the sieve screening efficiency. We keep the fine crushing and second screening in close circuit by erecting rain canopy. In this way, we could keep out the water and also keep the dry sand powder inside. The cost is much lower than water cost and water recycling facilities.

(4) Dust removal equipment to ensure environmental requirements. The system in the dry-type production, the main source of dust: crushing workshops, screening workshop
and sand making workshop. The Spray method, isolation method, vacuum method were easier to implement.

In summary, the dry production is better for the recovery of the powder, and helpful for improve the sand rate, and reduce operating costs.
